Evaluation at DAV Dariba is a continuous and comprehensive process and it is aimed at identifying the scholastic and co-scholastic problems of the students and providing adequate solutions. The school follows a periodical assessment system (akin to the weekly test) and other formative assessments besides the Summative Evaluation at the end of each semester (Sep/Oct and March). Carefully designed assignments are distributed on a regular basis. The core curriculum prescribed by the C.B.S.E. is followed in classes I to XII. The text books, most of them published by DAV Publication Division, follow the NCERT guidelines. The colourful and lively Kinder Garten section with its interesting play-way method of education is a proud hot-spot of the school. The school has a strong printed system for communication with the parents – called Hansadoot.
The Senior Secondary Section: There are three subject streams offered in Class XI & XII. In addition to the compulsory English (Core), a student has to opt for three other subjects, choosing from the following available options, besides choosing one subject from the ‘elective’ group:- Arts Stream: Hindi, History, Political Science and Sociology
Science Stream : Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology.
Commerce Stream : Business Studies, Accountancy, Economics Elective Group: Physical Education, English (Elective) and Painting.
Admission into class XI, and the subject combination offered is on the basis of merit, counselling and the number of students opting for the subject.
